The wise old owl have some questions for you

Caring for the planet starts with small daily actions, and every choice counts. This short, honest self-assessment will help you reflect on how eco-friendly your habits truly are. Your answers should be Yes, Sometimes, or NO. There’s no shame — only learning! So let's see if you are Environmentally Friendly.

1️⃣ Do you recycle regularly at home, work, or school?

Recycling prevents unnecessary landfill buildup by giving materials like paper, plastic, glass, and metal a new life. If you don’t currently recycle, begin small by separating just one type of

material until it becomes a habit.

2️⃣ Do you actively avoid single-use plastics such as straws, packets, plastic bags, or takeaway cups?

These items are used for just minutes but can pollute our planet for centuries. By switching to reusable bottles, cloth shopping bags, travel mugs, and lunch containers, you can dramatically cut down on daily plastic waste!

3️⃣ Do you conserve water by using it wisely in daily activities?

Turning off taps while brushing teeth, fixing leaks quickly, shorter showers, and watering gardens early morning or late afternoon are easy, impactful habits — especially in drought-risk regions.

4️⃣ Do you consciously reduce electricity use when possible?

Energy-saving habits include unplugging chargers, switching off lights, using LED bulbs, choosing cold-water laundry cycles and opening curtains instead of switching on lights during the day.

5️⃣ Do you prefer eco-friendly transport such as walking, cycling, public transport, lift-sharing, or combining errands?

Pollution from fossil fuels plays a major role in driving climate change, but here's the exciting news: you can have a meaningful impact by altering just one or two car trips each week through carpooling or using public transportation! For short journeys, consider walking or cycling instead of driving.

6️⃣ Do you avoid littering and make sure rubbish is properly disposed of wherever you go?

Whether you are at home, at the beach, hiking, driving or attending events, responsible disposal protects wildlife, soil quality, waterways and tourism appeal. Remember to "Zap it in the Zibi".

7️⃣ Do you support eco-friendly products, packaging, brands, and local products wherever possible?

Embrace the excitement of making a difference by buying local, opting for biodegradable or recyclable packaging, supporting ethical companies, and choosing long-lasting products over disposable ones!

8️⃣ Do you actively reduce food waste at home or work?

Get excited about meal planning, storing leftovers properly, composting organic waste, or donating edible food! These steps can significantly cut down landfill methane emissions and help you save money!

9️⃣ Do you take part in environmental awareness actions such as clean-ups, tree-planting, sharing environmental content, or educating others?

You have the power to make a difference without being an activist—by occasionally engaging in green activities, sharing positive environmental stories on social media, or initiating inspiring discussions, you actively promote a greener culture!

🔟 If you find a bug or spider inside your home, do you gently relocate it outside instead of killing it?

Insects and spiders have vital ecological roles, including pollination and pest control. Humane relocation shows respect for nature's smallest life forms, reminding us that environmental care isn’t only about landscapes — it’s about living creatures too.
